Madeline Mae Spears (May 30, 1932 – October 16, 2015)

Madeline Mae Spears 83 of Roseville passed away on Friday October 16, 2015 at Genesis Hospice Morrison House. She was born in Zanesville on May 30, 1932 to the late Lewis and Mildred Seevers Hoppstetter, she was a homemaker who loved nothing more than being a mother. She loved quilting, crocheting, reading, country and gospel music. Madeline was also a former member of the Salvation Army where she served as a Captain.
She is survived by her sons; Richard (Debra) Spears of Roseville, David Spears of Zanesville, Donald Spears of Columbus, and Robert Spears of Roseville. Daughters; Patricia Bailes of Zanesville, Christine (Eric) Drozda of Zanesville, and Melissa (Mike) Kuhn of Nashport. A sister Margaret “Mag†Fry of Byesville, and a cousin Myrna Larrison of Cambridge, 18 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, and a cousin Daisy May Berger of Creston.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Spears, a son Franklin, a daughter Barbara, a grandson Billy Spears, and a daughter-in-law Beverly Pierce Spears.
Calling hours will be on Thursday October 22, 2015 from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 PM at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 West Military Road Zanesville. Funeral Services will be held on Friday October 23, 2015 at 1:00 PM in the Snouffer Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Pastor Bill Blair. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
