UPDATE: Power Restored in New Concord

***UPDATE*** American Electric Power has restored service to customers in New Concord ****UPDATE***
The Muskingum County Emergency Management Agency says there is a major power outage in the Village of New Concord.
E-M-A Director Jeff Jadwin says American Electric Power crews are heading to the area to make repairs to the 1400 customers without service.
The outage also includes Muskingum University and a nursing home. The cause has not been determined, but there is a report of a car into a power pole. The University tweeted that the approximate power restoration time is 1:30 Thursday afternoon.
