Man Charged In Murder Of Thompkins Center Director
A Cambridge man is facing murder charges in connection with the Friday death of a Guernsey County man who was known as a juvenile advocate. Guernsey County Prosecutor Dan Padden says that 21-year-old Perry Buco is facing one count of murder in the death of 47-year-old Robert “Chris” Caples, also of Cambridge. The victim was the Director of the Thompkins Center in Cambridge and was found dead around 10:30 Friday night at his Beatty Avenue home after his family requested a well being check. Prosecutor Padden says Caples died of blunt force trauma. The victim’s body was taken to the Licking County Coroner for an autopsy. Buco was arrested Saturday at Baker’s Motel in Muskingum County after a deputy spotted his vehicle in the parking lot. Buco is being held in the Guernsey County Jail and may face a bond hearing on Tuesday
