Man Charged in Zanesville Murder in Court
A Columbus man charged in connection with a Zanesville murder appeared in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court Friday for a procedural hearing.
Prosecutor Mike Haddox says attorneys for 24-year-old Terrell Nowlin were in court and presented Judge Mark Fleegle with about 40 different motions.
He says one of the motions included having the media barred from pre-trial hearings in the case which Judge Fleegle denied.
Nowlin’s attorneys also requested that Nowlin be allowed to wear street clothes during all proceedings which Judge Fleegle granted.
Nowlin is facing multiple charges including aggravated murder which carries the possibility of the death penalty in connection with the death of 19-year-old Tyler Hardin .
Hardin’s body was found in a shallow grave back in July on property in Newton Township.
Nowlin’s wife, Heather, also faces separate charges relating to the case.
Both have pleaded not guilty to the charges against them.
A trial date has not been set for either Nowlin.
