Man Drives Himself to Hospital After Shooting

Newark Police report a shooting at 125 North Buena Vista Street in Newark is under investigation.

The shooting took place Thursday night between 9:30 and 10:15.

Police say a 19-year-old Walhonding, Ohio man drove himself and witness to Licking Memorial Hospital and was later transported to Grant Medical Center in Columbus with a gunshot wound.

Detectives are looking to identify the shooter and were able to locate other witnesses and evidence.
