Man Enters Plea in Zanesville Death
A man charged in connection with a Zanesville stabbing death more than 20 years ago entered a plea in court Monday.
42-year-old Raymond Mejias appeared before Muskingum County Common Pleas Court Judge Kelly Cottrill where he entered a guilty plea to one count of voluntary manslaughter.
Mejias was charged in connection with the 1988 death of Jeffrey Harris at a house on West Main Street.
Police arrested Mejias in New York back in September after being on the run since 1988.
Mejias is being held in the Muskingum County jail on a $1 million bond.
Judge Cottrill ordered a pre-sentence investigation.
