Man Found Dead In Truck

The Zanesville Highway Patrol released the name of the man found dead in a vehicle Friday in Muskingum County.  Sergeant Kay Perkins says troopers are investigating a one vehicle accident on Dresden Road about one mile south of State Route 16.  Troopers say 24-year-old Matthew Aaron Smith of Dresden was driving his pick-up truck north on Dresden Road, went off the right side, struck a tree, went over a steep embankment and into a shallow canal.  Investigators found Smith dead in his truck.  The Muskingum County Coroner has ordered an autopsy.  The crash remains under investigation.
