Man Guilty in Burglary
The Muskingum County Prosecutor’s Office is recommending a man serve almost five years in prison for burglary and theft charges.
38-year-old Isaac Washington III pled guilty Wednesday in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court to felony charges of burglary and theft stemming from the June burglary of the Disabled American Veterans Building on Moxahala Avenue in Zanesville. Washington also pled guilty to a felony charge of theft-by-deception in another case.
Authorities say they arrested Washington shortly after the break-in at the D.A.V and found evidence linking him to the crime.
The Prosecutor’s Office is recommending he serve a sentence of four years and 11 months in prison. A pre-sentence investigation was ordered. Washington remains in the Muskingum County Jail.
