Man Heading to Prison for Drugs with Child in Car

A McConnelsville man authorities say was arrested following a drug deal with his child in the car was sentenced in court Monday.

29-year-old Stuart Olney was sentenced to eight months in prison by Judge Kelly Cotrill in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court.

Olney pled guilty in July to a felony charge of possession of crack cocaine and misdemeanor charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and child endangering.

The Zanesville Police Department says in March Olney was engaged in what appeared to be a drug deal. When he was stopped by a patrolmen, police say they found drugs and drug paraphernalia in his truck. Olney had his 7-year-old daughter in the vehicle with him.
