Man in Custody After Baby Dies from Abuse
The Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office says they have a man in custody after a baby died from injuries sustained in a case of child abuse.
The sheriff’s office says deputies were called to Coshocton Memorial Hospital on September 8th in reference to a seven month old child being the victim of apparent child abuse.
The child was later transported to Akron Children’s Hospital by Air Bear Helicopter. In the early hours of September 11th, the young child died at Akron Children’s Hospital from injuries sustained in the abuse.
The name of the man in custody has not yet been released as formal charges are still pending by Prosecutor Jason Given.
