Man killed in Zanesville shooting and one taken into custody
ZANESVILLE, OH- A 36-year-old man was shot and killed night in Zanesville, and one person was taken into custody at the scene according to police.
According to a department media release the Zanesville Police Department received a report of a shooting at approximately 7:22 p.m. on Jan. 3 at 518 McIntire Ave.
Officers who arrived at the scene found Michael Moore, 36, of Zanesville, had been shot and killed. Officers and detectives interviewed witnesses and collected evidence. One individual was taken into custody at the scene.
No further details were released because the investigation is ongoing. The case will be reviewed by the Muskingum County Prosecutor’s Office according to police.
