Man Killed in Tractor Accident

The Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office says a Newton Township man was killed in a tractor accident. Captain Jeff LeCocq says at just before 11:00 a.m. Thursday 79-year-old Robert Grant of 5395 Heckel  Drive was apparently run over by his farm tractor. LeCocq says Grant’s wife called a neighbor when Grant failed to return to the house and he was found 20 feet from the running tractor which was against a tree. Grant was alive when authorities found him, but later died at Genesis Hospital.
