Man Sentenced for High-Speed Chase
A Zanesville man involved in a high-speed chase through Muskingum County was sentenced in Common Pleas Court Monday.
24-year-old Harold Small Junior received two year community control and 100 hours of public service from Judge Mark Fleegle. Small pled guilty last month to a felony charge of failure to comply.
According to the Zanesville Post of the State Highway Patrol, on August 24th a trooper attempted to pull Small over on Interstate 70 near the Adamsville exit. Small did not stop his motorcycle and led officers from the Patrol, Muskingum
County Sheriff’s Office and Zanesville Police Department on a high-speed chase for a half-hour throughout Muskingum county. Authorities say Small crashed on the West Pike in front of McDonald’s, he then attempted to flee on foot and was tased.
If Small does not complete the terms of his probation his alternate sentence is two years in prison.
