Many Celebrated the Easter Holiday with Egg Hunts

Many Celebrated the Easter Holiday with Egg HuntsZANESVILLE, Ohio- Many are celebrating the Easter holiday with a traditional egg hunt Sunday.

One local woman hosted an egg hunt of her own with more than 1,600 eggs and a prize in each one.

“We have anything from candy to money, bats and balls, games, card games, stickers, and all kinds of stuff. I do it every year. My mom and dad started it when my kids were young and just kept it going. There has been a great turn out,” said Violet Flickinger.

The free event started at 4 o clock Sunday afternoon and all Flickinger asked was for you to bring children with a basket or bag and she’ll provide the rest.

“It’s to get everybody together and it’s for the kids. Having the kids hunt the eggs, just having fun, it’s awesome. Easter is my favorite holiday, ” said Flickinger.

Flickinger said she hopes the event continues to grow bigger and bigger each year.
