Margaret Brown

Margaret E. Brown, 83 of Blue Rock, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at her home. She was surrounded by her loving family, a testament to the life she cherished and the bonds she nurtured.

She was born on July 4, 1941, a real firecracker, in Liberty, West Virginia, to Warren D. and Hazel B. (Young) Bowling. Margaret dedicated her life to creating a warm and welcoming home for her loved ones, her family was her greatest joy. She enjoyed sitting on her front porch with a pack of cigarettes, sipping on a cup of coffee, listening to country music while watching her hummingbirds.

Margaret is survived by her three daughters, Hazel Brown of Lancaster, Teresa (James) Clarkson of Lancaster, and Kimberly (Greg) Matusek of Zanesville; her grandchildren, Eric Tucker, Tracy Parrill, Cassie Moyer, Jessica James, and Jamie Clarkson; her 10 great-grandchildren as well as 4 great- great -grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Margaret is preceded in death by her husband Franklin “Gene” Brown, and her granddaughter Tasha Nelson.

Visitations for Margaret will be held from 11 am to 12 pm on Friday, October 11, 2024, at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls. A funeral service for Margaret will be held at 12 pm following visitations at the funeral home. Rev. Darren Tolbert will officiate the service. Margaret will be reunited with Gene in the Duncan Falls Cemetery.
