Marguerite L. Smith (September 10, 1925 – August 16, 2009)

Marguerite L. Smith , 83 of Zanesville , OH died 2:00 AM Sunday, August 16, 2009 at her residence .

She was born Thursday, September 10, 1925 in Norwich OH the daughter of William Grover Lake Sr. and Welthia J. (Butcher) Lake. She was married on Friday, November 26, 1948 to Lloyd H. Smith .

She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church. She was a loving wife & mother. She worked several years as the credit manager & then retired as a customer service representative for Sears.

She is survived in addition to her husband of 61 years of the home, one daughter Victoria (Robert) Wetzel of Zanesville, one son Mark G. Smith of Newark. Grandchildren Amy (Frank) Moore, Pamela (Lou) Groen, Patricia (Bryce) Schumm, Jennifer (Cory) Corsi and Nicolette (Brandon) Ledford. Six great grandchildren. A brother Robert (Donna) Lake of Zanesville.

Preceded in death in addition to her parents by a daughter-in-law Sheri Smith, sisters Mildred Hendren, Mabel Marshall, brothers James G. Lake, William G. Lake Jr., and George Lake.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday August 18 from 2-4 & 6-8pm at the Hillis & Hardwick Funeral Home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10am Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church 925 East Main Street Zanesville OH with Fr. Martin Ralko as celebrant. Burial will conclude in the Mt. Olive Cemetery Zanesville OH .
