Marian Kelley

Marian S. Kelley, 91, passed away Thursday, January 29, 2026, at the Adams Lane Healthcare Center. Marian was born in Zanesville, Ohio, on August 27, 1934, the daughter of Edward and Catherine Morgan Guy. She graduated from Zanesville “Lash” High School and studied at the Bethesda School of Nursing. She used that knowledge to care for her family over the years. From the moment she became a mother, she dedicated her life to her children, grandchildren and family. She attended countless events cheering for them. She was a loving and supportive advocate. Marian retired from the Zanesville City Schools after 25 years of service as a library technician and office assistant at Wilson Elementary School. She was an avid reader and loved working in the family garden and preparing delicious meals for her family, especially vegetable soup with vegetables from her garden. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sibling, aunt and friend.
Marian married Thomas “Felix” Kelley on February 27, 1954 and they celebrated 68 years together before he passed away in October of 2022. They enjoyed spending time during the winter months at their condominium in the Grenelefe Resort in Haines City, Florida. While in Florida she and her sister Norma Jean participated in the Red Hat Society. She attended Greater Apostolic Church of Christ along with her husband as long as she was able.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Edward Guy and Norma Jean Newman, her beloved daughter, “Nesie” Kelley and granddaughters Erica Denise Kelley and Dorothy L. Mohler. She leaves to cherish her memory and continue her legacy, three sons, Thomas (Roxanne) Kelley, Timothy Kelley and Terry (Susan) Kelley; one granddaughter Erin (Dr. Michael) Robinson, one grandson, Charles BJ Norris, several great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and brother-in-law, Paul Newman.
You may call on the family Thursday, February 5, 2026 from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m., with funeral service to follow at 11:30 a.m., at The Greater Apostolic Church of Christ, 1651 State St., in Zanesville. Elder Terrence Brown officiating. Marian will always be remembered for her unwavering love and devotion to her family and her beloved husband “Felix.” She will be laid to rest next to him at Woodlawn Cemetery in Zanesville, Ohio.
