Marion Cecil Butler

Marion “Cecil” Butler, 53, of Zanesville, died unexpectedly at 11:57 P.M. on Monday, September 29, 2025, at Genesis Hospital Emergency Room. He was born June 21, 1972, in Cleveland, a son of the late Donnie and Brenda (Hobbs) Butler. Cecil worked as a mechanic and was a true family man. He cherished spending his days with the love of his life, his wife Britany. Together, they enjoyed singing their favorite songs during long drives down country roads, relaxing together by campfires, and watching their favorite shows, especially Law & Order. Cecil also found joy in playing football with his kids and listening to country rap music. He will be deeply missed by his friends and family that loved him dearly.
He is survived by his wife and best friend of fifteen years, Britany (Jeffrey) Butler whom he married April 10, 2020; 3 sons, Joseph, Samuel, and Lucas; one daughter, Roberta; one grandson, Patrick; father-in-law, Samuel Jeffrey; sister, Donna; sisters-in-law, Mandy, Sandy, Misty, and Kristy; Uncles Ricky and Big Ronnie; cousin Little Ronne; and his best furry friend, his dog, Jasmine.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
A cremation will take place under the direction of the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE. Private family services will be held.
