Marjorie High

Marjorie Ellen (Lancaster) High, 91, of Cambridge and formerly of Byesville, passed away Wednesday (May 15, 2024) at her home.
She was born April 28, 1933 in Anderson IN, daughter of the late Raymond Lancaster and Mabel Pearl (Newby) Lancaster Rock.
Marjorie had worked as a nurse’s aide at various places. She married William Adrian “Bill” High on June 7, 1949. Marjorie was always at her husband’s side throughout his years in the military and his time as a clergyman.
She was a member of the Byesville Main Avenue Methodist Church and a member of United Methodist Women.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill High, who passed away April 27, 2014; and a grandson, Clyde A. Pickens.
Marjorie is survived by a son, Warren Douglas (& Janesa) High of Cambridge; three daughters, Bolivia High of Griffin GA, LaVonne (& Rell Gene) Pickens of Fairview, and LaJoy (& Richard) Crawford of Zanesville; ten grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Thursday (May 16, 2024) from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville, where funeral services will be held Friday (May 17, 2024) at 11 a.m. with Pastor Rodney King officiating.
Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Byesville.
