Marva Louise Burrell

Marva Louise Burrell, 76, of Zanesville, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2021. Marva was born August 28, 1945 to the late Jesse and Beulah (Barnett) McDade, Sr. In addition to her parents, Marva is also preceded in death by her first husband, Eldon Viney, Sr.; second husband, Richard Burrell; and siblings, Marilyn Lee, Donna Jean, Leroy, Amanda, Raymond Eugene, Joy and Jesse, Jr.
Marva is survived by, her children, Eldon (Amy) Viney, Jr. and family, Dora Viney and Kimberly Bishop; sister, Charlotte Lavender; special cousin, Veronica Barnett; roommate, David; caretakers and staff of Genesis Hospice through the Morrison House, along with RHDD, Zanesville for the excellent, dedicated care they provided to Marva, Eric, Jason, Bev, Jules, Johnesa, Laura, and Paul, her SSA; as well as other relatives and friends.
Marva dedicated over 24 years of service to The Old Market House Inn where she worked as a kitchen aide. She went on to be employed by RHDD. Marva was a hard working woman, who worked until her health no longer permitted it. She was an active member of St. Paul A.M.E. church as well as The Anchor Church throughout her life. In her free time, Marva enjoyed coloring, making various crafts and needle pointing. She and her roommate, David, were always on the go, involved in any activities they could find. Marva will be missed by those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
You may call on the family Monday, December 13, 2021 from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m., with funeral service to follow at 12 p.m., at Burrell Funeral Services. Reverend Clifton Kilpatrick officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. BURRELL FUNERAL SERVICES is serving the family.
