Mary A. Ireton, 82 of Norwich, Ohio, passed away at her residence Friday, May 6, 2011. Mary was born in Zanesville June 7, 1928 to the late Frank and Fannie Taylor Lynn. She was employed by General Electric doing billing and payroll. She was a member of the Norwich Presbyterian Church where she had been an Elder and Treasurer. She contributed and researched the Muskingum County genealogy records at the John McIntire Library.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Joyce Ireton of Columbus, Oh., a sister, Edna Haren, 2 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar, sons: Terry and Mark; great-grandson, Dylan; sisters: Gladys Sharrer and Berniece Lynn; brothers William and Richard Lynn.
Calling hours will be 6-8 P.M., Monday, May 9, 2011 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 W. MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE, OH. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 10 in the Snouffer Chapel with Pastor Paul Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Norwich Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
