Mary A. Wilson, 91 of Zanesville, OH, died 8:35 PM, Monday, November 23, 2020, at The Oaks at Bethesda. She was born Saturday, April 6, 1929, in Zanesville, OH, the daughter of William L. Heil and Magdalen (Tonsor) Heil and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church at Mattingly Settlement.

Mary was co-founder and co-owner of Lumi-Lite Candle Company. She was also a member of the Zanesville Patriots Club.

Mary is survived by her children: William (Lynn) Paulus of Stone Mountain, GA, Daniel (Elizabeth) Chuhna of Lithia Springs, GA, Tina Bales-Nelson (Michael) of Norwich, OH, and Gina (David) Kent of Milford, NH; grandchildren: Nicholas Paulus, Daniel Chuhna, Elizabeth Grindle, Christopher Chuhna, Kristopher (Morgan Cutoer) Kent and Kevin Kent; two great grandsons: Irie Grindle and Kole Kent; one great granddaughter: Kallie Kent; two sisters: Barbara Baker of Mount Vernon, OH and Rose Ann Waterson of Reynoldsburg, OH and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her son: Theodore Paulus; an infant brother, William Heil and two grandsons: Michael Paulus and Anthony Paulus.

Per Mary’s wishes, her body was donated to The Ohio State University College of Medicine, Division of Anatomy, where her contribution will further the advancement of medical science and education.

In addendum her family wishes to announce the birth of an additional great grandson: Karson Kent, and the passing of her son-in-law, David Kent (Gina) and her sister, Barbara Baker.

A Celebration of Life Mass will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 6, 2024, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at Mattingly Settlement, 6280 St. Mary’s Road, Nashport, OH, with Fr. Martin J. Ralko as celebrant. Mary will be laid to rest in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Zanesville, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mary’s memory.
