Maryland School Shooting Victim Dies

A teenage girl with a Zanesville connection who was shot when a classmate opened fire inside their Maryland High School has died. The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office said Friday that Jaelynn Willey died at 11:34 p.m. Thursday. Earlier that night, her family said she would be taken off life support at the University Of Maryland Prince George Hospital. Willey’s great grandparents, Don and Nancy Newman and Tim and Margaret Willey live in Zanesville.
