Matthew M. Brown (July 9, 1983 – March 6, 2016)

ZANESVILLE
Matthew Mark Brown, 32, of Zanesville passed away Sunday March 6, 2016 at Genesis Hospital. He was born July 9, 1983 in Zanesville a son of Mark and Mary Brown of Zanesville.
Matthew earned his Master’s Degree in Education and taught 7th grade Social Studies at Franklin Local Schools. Matthew was the Head Coach for the Varsity Boy’s Soccer team for ten years at Philo High School. He enjoyed remodeling homes, traveling, soccer and spending time with family. He was a member of North Terrace Church of Christ and the Lodge of Amity #5 F&AM.
In addition to his parents, Matthew, is survived by his wife, Hendra Bates Brown; one son Garrison Matthew Brown of the home; one brother Mason Brown of Zanesville; two sisters Marlo Brown of Delaware, OH and Meagan Brown of Zanesville and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends.
Someone so special as Matthew is a blessing to his family. He was incredibly loved by all those who came into contact with him. He was an encourager, a loyal friend, and shared his love of life with everyone. Knowing Matthew was a privilege and he was a fantastic role model to all of his soccer players, staff and students. His everlasting positive outlook on life was something from which everyone benefited by knowing him. Matthew will forever be loved and remembered for his laugh and sense of humor that could brighten anyone’s day. A son, a brother, a father, a husband, a friend, who will forever be remembered, loved and honored.
Calling hours will be held 4-7pm on Wednesday March 9, 2016 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD,ZANESVILLE and one hour prior to services at 1pm on Thursday March 10, 2016 in the Snouffer Chapel with Mr. Bill Meaige officiating. Burial will take place at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery. Masonic services will be held at 8pm on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Matthews son Garrison in an account established at the Community Bank.
