Mayor of Dayton Visits Zanesville in Efforts of 88-County ‘Ohio Deserves Better’ Tour

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- Mayor of Dayton, Ohio, Nan Whaley, who is currently running for Ohio Governor on the Democrat primary ballot visited Zanesville today at the Weasel Boy Brewery.
Mayor Whaley said they plan to reach all counties throughout the 88-County ‘Ohio Deserves Better’ tour” as Muskingum County is number 65.
“Our goal is to make sure we get represented in the Governor’s office. I’m the only candidate in this race Democrat or Republican that is from a working class that’s not a millionaire and we need common sense solutions to make sure that all places across the state get represented and get what they need to make sure that they can grow their economies and make sure that their kids have a choice to stay here if they want,” Mayor Whaley stated.
‘Ohio Deserves Better’ tour believes that it is time for a change in Ohio. Mayor Whaley talked about the self interest path Ohio has been following and said she plans to change that.
“We know the state is diverse and we know that they deserve better, that Ohio deserves better. For the past three decades we’ve had one group of people in charge and they’ve been self interest and self dealing to be called now the most corrupt state in the country,” Mayor Whaley said. “We deserve a clean sweep to make sure that our communities get what they need from the Ohio Statehouse.”
As the Mayor of Dayton, Ohio for eight years, Whaley said she plans to bring her pragmatic leadership into the role as Ohio Governor and stand up to extremists.
