Maysville is on the Way to State

The Maysville Panthers will make a trip to the State Finals this weekend after a big win Saturday.

After trailing going into halftime by 15 points the Panthers used a strong third quarter to defeat Warren 72-64.

Alex Bobb had 20 points in the game. Gator Nichols added 17 points.

The Panthers are back in the Final Four for the first time in over 50 years.

Coach Dave Brown had this to say, “I thought that was going to be a tall task, but we told them the same thing we told them against Hartley. You have to get it under ten going into the fourth quarter. We knew from two nights ago that we could come back from an deficit we want as long as we put our mind to it and that’s what we did.”

Brown also added that he couldn’t ask for a team that loves each other more to come out and give everything they have every night.

The Panthers head to Dayton on Saturday at 2pm for a spot in the Division II Championship game.
