ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The Muskingum County Business Incubator is calling all young entrepreneurs.

The MCBI will be hosting their inaugural Startup Weekend August 25th through the 27th at Zane State College. Executive Director, Shmuel Roth, explained the event will help new business ideas become realities.

“You start Friday evening with a bunch of your fellow participants and pitch business ideas to each other. You talk them out, discuss them, give a 60 second brief introduction to your idea and then the participants themselves build teams around these ideas and then with help from coaches, mentors, and guidance that we are going to help facilitate. These teams build a full-fledged business plan.”

Participants will present their plans to a panel of community members and judges for a chance to win prizes.

“Some of the prizes that are going to be available are going to be memberships to the IDEA Lab. Zane State has a really exciting makers space with a lot of cool functionality and tools and equipment and the guidance necessary to learn how to use these pieces of equipment.”

Other prizes include consulting services for financial and legal help. There is a limited number of tickets available. For more information and to order tickets click here.
