MCCF Awards $100,000 in Funds During the Spring Grant Competition

ZANESVILLE, OH – The Muskingum County Community Foundation has announced the recipients of the 2026 Spring Grant Competition.

The Spring Grant Competition supports a wide range of community needs including food assistance, youth development, health and wellness programming, workforce transportation, the arts, and community improvements.

The Grants were awarded to programs and projects that help to strengthen the quality of life here in Muskingum County.

MCCF will distribute grants to 15 organizations; three of those are the Carr Center, which received $10,000 to support fuel for their programs and operations, Breaking Free Therapeutic Riding Center, which received $9,741 for therapeutic riding instructor training, and Trulight Ministries received $10,000 for the Breakfast of Hope Feeding Program.

The other organizations include:

Village of Dresden: received $7,000 for the Swim Center Concrete Restoration project

Zanesville Civic League: received $10,000 for It Takes a Village Programming.

Genesis Healthcare Foundation: received $4,500 for the Aquatic Therapy Program for Parkinson’s Disease.

Habitat for Humanity of Southeast Ohio: received $8,000 for the Career Tech Student Home Build Project.

Muskingum County Family YMCA: received $3,000 to support the Teen Center Development.

Franklin Local School District: received $3,000 for the Philo Junior High School Food Pantry.

Eastside Community Ministry: received $3,500 for Facility flooring and Space improvements.

Grace Community Cupboard / Grace Church Downtown Zanesville: received $10,000 for food assistance and Pantry Operations.

Mid-Ohio Mobility Solutions Inc.: received $10,000 to support employment transportation

Zanesville Appalachian Arts Project (ZAAP): received $5,000 for Enhancements to the Community Arts Programs.

Zanesville Museum of Art: received $4,359 support for their Summer Art Camps.

The Center for Seniors: received $2,000 for improvements in Safety and ADA Wayfinding.
