MCCF connects Scholarship Recipients with Donors

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- Local Scholarship winners were given the chance to thank their donors on June 1st.

The Muskingum County Community Foundation hosted a Scholarship Open House from 3 to 5pm. CEO, Brian Wagner, explains after several years, the event has been a great way for donors to see the impact the financial support can have on the recipients life.

“We’ve been doing this for a couple of years now and hoping to make it bigger and better as years go by and again the opportunities we feel that our donors have to meet with our recipients of the established they can really see the great impact that they are making in that student’s life as they move on to the next level.”

Wagner notes the foundation is thankful for being able to support nearly 70 students this year.

“We’ve recognized 69 different young men and women throughout Muskingum County this past year as scholarship recipients. Now some scholarships gave multiple scholarships, some scholarships just one recipient. But we feel blessed that we’ve been able to support that many students just in this one calendar year.”
