MCCF Groundhog Day Approaching

Unnamed

ZANESVILLE, Ohio-The Muskingum County Community Foundation has its annual Groundhog Day event quickly approaching.

The event is the MCCF’s biggest fundraiser of the year. Chief Executive Officer Brian Wagner and a special friend made visits this afternoon to the biggest sponsors.

“The groundhog is with me. We are making stops at various locations for our sponsors that have helped us out with the Groundhog event. Genesis is one of the sponsors, we visited Century. We’ll be visiting other locations, Community Bank we visited as well. We’ll be sharing these on Facebook live just to talk a little bit about what we’ll be doing for our groundhog Celebration.”, Wagner said of his day’s plans.

All proceeds from ticket sales go towards the Spring Grant competition. Tickets are on sale right now on the MCCF website.

“The Groundhog Celebration this year is gonna have to be virtual. The groundhog and myself as well as Lisa Karling and Matt Lutz, our sheriff, will be handling the raffle portion of Groundhog. What we’ll be doing is we will have ten prize packages that people can win, they can visit our website mccf.org and buy tickets, decide which package they’d like to have their tickets placed into and then we’ll be drawing those out.”, Wagner continued.

The event is via Facebook Live on February 2nd at 5:00 pm and tickets cost $50 for one ticket or $100 for three tickets.
