ZANESVILLE, OH – The Muskingum County Community Foundation has unveiled an exciting opportunity for local non-profits.

Nonprofits and community projects in Muskingum County can now apply for a share of up to $70,000 through the 2024 Spring Grant Competition. This competition aims to fund projects and programs that address community needs that align with MCCF’s Cornerstone focus areas.

“A spring grant is exciting because it’s designed for those nonprofits who need help with funding for their programing. That can be programing throughout the year. We know summer is a big time for a lot of programming because a lot of kids are out of school, but this lasts the entire year around. It’s a little different than our fall grants which are focused more on capital type of projects. These are more about how we can help engage the community. We’re really excited about this grant program. This is the fun one.” Director of Programs/Scholarship Central, Beth Fox said.

Applicants have until April 1st at 5 PM to submit their proposals. The distribution committee, MCCF Board Members, and local residents will review submissions over the following weeks. Winners will be announced in May.

“Living in Muskingum County is so unique. We have such a strong support system here and when we can all collaborate and come together, it’s amazing what we can accomplish.” Fox said.
