MCLS now has a digital library card

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- Muskingum County Library System now has a digital access library card.
If you don’t have a physical library card, you can apply for a digital card online. The digital card will allow people to access all the digital content the library offers.
“In a matter of minutes, you can register for a library card, get your barcode and pin and access any of our digital resources,” said Emerging Technologies Manager for MCLS, Sean Fennell. “Like our digital downloads where you can get Ebooks, audiobooks, music, TV shows, and you will also have access to all of our research databases where you can find things like old newspapers or even investment stock options.”
The digital library card is free and digital returns are done automatically, so there won’t be any late fees. The library is also a part of ‘ZARTS,’ program that is currently being beta tested.
“We’ve partnered with various other cultural organizations in Zanesville. We are offering something called ‘ZARTS,” said Fennell. They are text message notifications about our culture within the area and a part of that. All you have to do is text ‘ZARTZ’ to 51555.”
The library is open on Sundays now until May from 1 P.M. to 5 P.M.
