ZANESVILLE, OH – The Muskingum County Library System is getting ready to host a program that will help with your computer knowledge.

The Library will host their Digital Pen Pal Program on Monday, Nov. 24th from 2 to 3PM at the South Branch Library.

Dutch Swigart, a Digital Skills Assistant Librarian, says attendees will learn how to create an email and the basics on how to use your email.

“We want as many people to come as possible because we are splitting them into groups and you will walk away that day with a pen pal.” Swigart said. “To hopefully share some holiday joy or just you know get to know each other a little bit better and you will walk away with a pen pal that day.”

Swigart says this is a fun and easy way to learn some of the basics of email if you aren’t that familiar, or just want to brush up on some skills.

“I think this is a great program for anybody because digital skills are important and not only will this help you in making friends but it might help you in your career life aswell.” Swigart said. “Connecting people with information and ideas is all about what the Library does and not only are we connecting you with new information on how to use email basics but we’re also connecting the community together, one pen pal at a time.”
