McMillan Tire Service celebrates 40 years

McMillan Tire service is celebrating 40 years of business.

The smell of barbecue, drinks and fellowship flowed through the air on Beverly Avenue from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday afternoon as several hundred people showed up to celebrate with the company.

Co-Owner John McMillan said it’s great to be able to show the community how much the business appreciates their loyalty.

"We just feel we need to give back to the community because the community kept us here and kept us in business," McMillan said.

The event Saturday was not a fundraiser for McMillan’s but a celebration of serving Zanesville for 40 years. Many of the people attending the event brought their classic cars out to show, many of which McMillan’s has serviced over the years.

"If it wasn’t for the community and my costumers and friends of course I wouldn’t be here," McMillan said. "But it’s all cool what we do is we’ve been here for 40 years, we’re not going to be here for another 40 of course at our age, but we just want to enjoy the years we’ve been here and the people we help."

McMillan Tire Service provided hot dogs, bratwurst, burgers and drinks to anyone who came out Saturday. John McMillan said that anyone who didn’t attend missed out on an afternoon of good company, good food and celebration.
