ZANESVILLE, Ohio – A local church dedicated their new stand at the Muskingum County Fairgrounds on Sunday.

Meadow Farm Church has had the same stand the county fairgrounds every since 1962. However, thanks to a generous donation from an anonymous donor, the church was able to dedicate their new facility.

The new structure cost over $30,000 to build and Pastor Dean Cole said that over 1,500 volunteer hours of labor went into the construction.

“We just want to invite everyone while you’re at the fair to come. Of course many churches have fair stands and many are worthy, but we welcome everyone to the fair first of all and if you get a chance to come to the Meadow Farm fair stand. We’d love to see you,” said Pastor Cole.

Gary Osburn was appointed the project supervisor. He said that Meadow Farm Church’s stand is famous for their breakfast they serve and that on any given day during the fair they will serve in excess of 500 breakfasts.

“We’ll have our frying of sausage,” said Osburn. “We will offer Steve Evan’s sausage. Steve is the late son of Bob Evans, and he has his own company now. The sausage patty sandwich and the full breakfast is from 7-11 every morning, starting Saturday, the day before the fair.”

The Muskingum County Fair starts on Aug. 14.
