MCCONNELSVILLE, OH – Meadowbrook and Morgan in an MVL matchup in McConnelsville on Monday. Say that five times fast.

The Colts and Raiders did battle on Monday evening in the MVL for both baseball and softball, but the games went two entirely different directions.

On the baseball diamond, it was an absolute rout. Morgan had a seven-run second inning, an eight-run third inning, and the Raiders only needed five innings in total to defeat Meadowbrook, 18-0.

Morgan was led by Owen McCoy who went three for four at the plate and drove in four runs, including a home run in the game. Landan Gheen went two for two with four RBI of his own in the Raiders’ rout.

Up the hill in softball, Meadowbrook defeated Morgan, eight to two. Hailey Fordyce played a big part, with a two-for three game at the dish, with three runs batted in and a home run. McKendell Boyer was tremendous on the mound for the Colts, going the full seven innings and striking out eleven batters in the victory.
