Meet Cassandra, The Pet of the Week

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Each week we feature a new furry friend as pet of the week.

Meet Cassandra. Cassandra is a one and half year old cat and has been at the Animal Shelter Society since March. Executive Director, Jody Murray said you can add Cassandra to your family for a small fee of $30.

“She has a very good temperament, gets along with people well. Would make an excellent indoor cat. Our cats here are already litter box trained. She would definitely be ready to move right in someone’s home,” said Murray.

On September 24th the Animal Shelter Society will hold its annual ‘Paws N’ ClawsFall’ benefit-auction. Murray said the event will take place at Zane State in the Community Room and tickets are $25.

“It’s one of our major fundraisers of the year so we encourage people and we are sending out letters this week and next week to pass corporate sponsors, donators, bidders, buyers, all those kind of things. So be sure to mark that date on your calendar,” said Murray.
