Meet Demi: This Week’s Dog of the Week

ZANESVILLE, Ohio—Talk about puppy love, this week’s K9 Adoption Center dog of the week is Demi and she’s ready to find her fur-ever home.

Demi, a 5-year-old arrival to the shelter is already stealing hearts. Her gentle, and affectionate demeanor makes her the perfect dog of the week. 

“This is Demi, she is a boxer mix, 5 years old, seems to love everybody especially kids, keeps a very clean kennel,” K9 Adoption Center Volunteer Doug McQuaid said.

This sweet girl arrived at the adoption center on April 7 through a humane case, meaning she wasn’t getting the care she deserved in her previous home. Demi is living with a stage 4 heart murmur so she will need an adopter who’s ready to provide a little extra attention, but her spirit hasn’t skipped a beat.

“A great dog for anybody, she seems very active so she would be best with an active family, older kids, someone that could go for walks with her and do a lot of different things with her,” McQuaid added.

While Demi has a love for being active, she may fatigue a bit quicker, due to her health condition, making her the perfect cuddle buddy after a lengthy walk. For more information about Demi please contact the Muskingum County K9 adoption center.
