Meet Leo! This Week’s Dog of the Week

ZANESVILLE, OH – This week’s Dog of the Week is the most loyal dog you’ll ever meet.

Meet Leo! He’s a 10-month-old German Shepherd mix who’s up to date on his vaccines, neutered, and does well with kids and other animals.

Doug McQuaid, a Volunteer at the Muskingum County K-9 Adoption Center, said Leo came to them as a humane case but that hasn’t stopped him from being a devoted best friend.

“He seems very attentive when he’s sitting beside you or just being around you,” McQuaid said. “He definitely, you can tell, has been around someone for a good period of time, it was just sad he was abandoned cause he’s a perfect dog.”

McQuaid said members of the K-9 Adoption Center staff will be at the Muskingum County Fairgrounds for the Blue Ribbon Farmer’s Market starting this Saturday.

He says they will also be bringing one of their adoptable dogs, like Leo, every week to the Farmer’s Market.

“We’d love to have you stop by, interact with [them],” McQuaid said. “A lot of the time, it lets us know different things about the dog that we may not know because they often come in as a stray.”

If you are interested in adopting Leo or for more information, you can head to the K-9 Adoption Center’s website.
