Meet some of the 53 employers from the upcoming job fair

ZANESVILLE,Ohio—It’s time to update your resumé because the OhioMeansJobs office of Muskingum County is bringing a job fair to the Colony Square Mall.
The Job Fair is bringing 53 different employers who are looking to answer questions and potentially recruit new employees. WHIZ spoke with three employers to learn who they are and what they’re looking for.
“IBEW stands for International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. We’re the electricians union and local 1105 covers five full and two partial counties in East Central and and Southeastern Ohio,” said Ashley Labaki from IBEW Local 1105. “I am looking forward to seeing people from the community come out and talk to us about career opportunities. I know the chance that the union in the life of my family and I know that we have the potential to change the lives of other people that are looking for, once again, not just a job but a career.”
“Genesis is like a small city. You know it takes a lot of different departments to make us successful. We have our clinical positions like nursing, respiratory therapy, laboratory, all of our different therapies like occupational and PT (physical therapy). We also have non-clinical positions such as IT, finance, public safety. We also have environmental services, food and nutrition, and some facilities management positions,” said Adam Lane from Genesis Healthcare Systems.
“We are seeking to fill entry level positions that require basic cyber security knowledge and crowbar provides that secondary on-the-job training to ensure individual and organizational success,” said Michael Kahler from Crowbar Security Solutions. “We’re interested, as far as attending the job fair, is to be able to go out there and integrate with the community and the career field.”
