Merle Norman Holding 3rd Annual Smooches for Pooches Fundraiser

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- Valentine’s Day may be over, but Merle Norman Cosmetics is still providing love for a good cause.
Merle Norman’s 3rd Annual Smooches for Pooches fundraiser provides lip makeovers and other fun prizes, and sweets in support of the fury friends at the Muskingum County K-9 Adoption Center.
“It’s just a way for us to give back to the community and so this year if you come in between now and the end of February have a quick lip make over, that’s for the Smooches for Pooches, and purchase of any lip product that donates to the adoption center you’ll receive a scratch off card with a way to win some fun prizes,” say Sharon Shaner, Owner of Merle Norman Cosmetics.
Shaner said that the scratch off cards include product discounts and the grand prize values over $100.

Deputy Dog Warden, Erin Fuller, brought along Dori, one of the dogs from the adoption center. Fuller said Dori would be great for any type of home setting.
“She’s a 1-year-old terror mix, she about 50 pounds, we have found that she is friendly with cats, dogs and kids and we believe she is house broken,” Deputy Fuller said. “She was taken in by a family overnight before we could get her and they had several cats, several dogs and they had several kids so she’s been well tested.”
A volunteer from the K-9 Adoption Center, Doug McQuaid, said that Merle Norman will also be selling $1 candy bars that will benefit the dogs.
Smooches for Pooches includes other services like free express facial services and a spa day on February 18th. For information, please visit their website at merlenormanstudio.com.
