Michael D. Clifton (April 9, 1960 – June 14, 2011)

Michael D. Clifton, 51 of Zanesville, passed away at 8:51 pm on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at Genesis Bethesda Hospital in Zanesville.

He was born April 9, 1960 in Zanesville, Ohio the son of Richard D. Clifton and the late Patricia (Todd) Clifton. Michael retired from the US Navy after 20 years of service and spent the last 8 years working as parts manager for Shelly & Sands in Zanesville. Michael was also a member of the VFW Post 1058 where he would DJ and was known as “The Big Fish”.
Michael leaves behind his wife of 29 years Linda (Morris) and their son Casey Clifton; two grandsons Kaiden Vance and Urijah Clifton; two sisters Cheryl Curtis and Wendy Clifton, and a brother Joe Clifton. He was the special uncle to Caitlin Curtis as well as other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Following Michaels wishes he is to be cremated; there are no services scheduled at this time. Memorial contributions may be made in Michael’s honor to the VFW Post 1058, 1318 Putnam Ave, Zanesville, Ohio 43701
