Mid-East Career and Technology Centers Help Students Find the Right Path

ZANESVILLE, OH- Applying to school can sometimes feel daunting and overwhelming for some students, but Mid-East Career and Technology Centers are there to help find the right courses for you.
Michelle Georgecopoulos, the Adult Education Admissions and Student Services Coordinator with Mid-East, says they have many full time courses from Power Line Technologies, Welding, Practical Nursing, and a Diploma RN Program.
There are also programs with shorter course times for those students looking to get their careers started.
“The nice thing about those is, because they’re short, we offer them more frequently throughout the year.” Georgecopoulos said. “So we do have a Certified Nursing Assistant Program, and that’s a name change from STNA because a lot of people might know it as in the State. So it’s CNA, we have a phlebotomy program, and we also have an EMT Program so anyone who wants to start working in the public safety field, an EMT would be a good fit. We also do truck driver training in Class B and Class A and one thing I don’t want to forget about is, we have a number of various Fire Services Programs that we can offer and we’ve got several that are already on the schedule.”
For Area Businesses looking for people with certain skills, Georgecopoulos says that the Business can give Mid-East a call and ask to speak with one of the Customized Training individuals.
She says they will be able to answer any and all questions you might have to find the right fit for your business.
“All of our full time programs are financial aid eligible through the Federal Government, over FAFSA.” Georgecopoulos said. “That one is super easy that they can do, they can hop online to the studentaid.gov, and they can start that process. Look over the information, read and see if they have additional questions, and always reach out if you do.”
