Mid-East Hall of Fame Induction

Earlier tonight the Mid-East Career and Technology Centers inducted five distinguished alumni into their hall of fame at their fall advisory committee banquet.

325 advisory committee members attended the ceremony. They’re the ones who work with Mid-East program instructors and students to ensure the programs are top notch and that they’re being properly trained to be successful in the work place. Each year Mid-East accepts nominations for people into the fall of fame and then the advisory committee looks at a rubric…

“We look at their success in their career, we look at their community service, we looks at things that they’ve done as far as their training relates to Mid-East. It’s an absolute honor and privilege to recognize these people because they’re why we do what we do here at Mid-East” Mid-East public information coordinator, Stacey Snider told us.

We spoke with a Mid-East alum who is being inducted tonight on her experience…She’s even sent two out of her five children to Mid-East as well.

“Mid-East is my heart. When you go to school here and you learn your trade here with all of your friends, there’s a bond that develops here I think more than just a regular high school” Shawna Milatovich said.

Those who were also inducted in tonight’s hall of fame ceremony included Rick Casterline, Logan Deitrick, John (Brady) Hittle and Tricia Mumaw.
