ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The Mid-Ohio Food Bank, at West Muskingum Administration Center, will be able to feed 100 more families than April in this weekends food drive.

Kristine Geis said the need was too high for April’s food drive and unfortunately, they had to turn families away. She said they now have enough food for 250 families.

“The Mid-Ohio food bank wasn’t able to send us enough food for all the families, but we wanted to make sure this month we have enough,” said Geis.

Gies said the produce giveaway helps feed so many people and makes a difference in so many peoples lives. She said the additional food is thanks to the hard work of Conrad Wilkins.

“Nobody, ever, wants to turn anybody away. So, Conrad took care of business and made sure that we’re going to have plenty of food for the whole community, for anybody that shows up,” said Geis.

To receive food all you need to do is bring a photo I.D. The food drive will be May 5th with registration starting at 9 and distribution of food beginning at 10 A.M.
