Midway Speedway 2018 Car Show

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- A local car show has made it’s way back to the City of Zanesville.

Saturday, Colony Square Mall was filled with a variety of cars and drivers for the Second Annual Midway Speedway Stock Car show.

“This will be the second annual Colony Square Mall show. We ask drivers to volunteer to bring their cars up here. They come up on Thursday night and we pull them in the mall at 9:00 and everybody lines up and it’s just a great weekend for the drivers to get their family and friends and their sponsors up here and get them some exposure and get the community involved and get ready for race season. We start here in about a month,” said Midway Track Promoter, Jeremy Krouskoupf.

For two days, stock car racers have their cars on display, while taking time to meet and talk with fans. Among the drivers was Tim Morris, who’s been driving for twenty plus years.

“The dirt track is a family. Just like any other racing area, we’re a breed. We just love having fun. It’s just all of the cars, all of the people having fun and that’s what hooked me. I was 21-years-old and I just never quit. I wanted to but once the dirt is in your system it’ll always be there,” said Tim Morris, Driver, 4 Cylinder class.

In addition to the car show, Midway is also hosting a food drive in the mall that will help benefit those in need in Perry County. The car show will conclude tomorrow evening at 6:00 P.M.
