Mike Watts – USMC, Corporal, 1986-1991

Desert Storm combat veteran. Missed the birth of his first child because of serving in Desert Storm. Coached buddy league football for approximately 15 years. Has always been a positive role model for young kids without a father figure. Has been Commander of the American Legion post 29 here in Zanesville four times in the past 14 years. Active in continuously raising money for the American Legion to support local veterans. Started a Veterans Dinner for veterans only about 10 years ago, during his first time as the Commander of the American Legion. Partnered with Habitat for Humanity to hold a Studs and Suds fundraising even at the American Legion, and many numerous other activities.
