Mildred Y. “Midge” Sidwell (January 18, 1930 – January 4, 2016)

Mildred Y. “Midge” Sidwell 85 of McConnelsville went home to be with the Lord on Monday January 4, 2016 at her residence.
Midge was born in Roseville on January 18, 1930 to the late Lester and Mamie Cartwright Carr. She had been employed by Nelson-McCoy Pottery, Dr. Robert Leeper DVM, and retired from the Ben Franklin store in McConnelsville where she worked for over 20 years. Midge was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Midge was a wonderful mother and grandmother; she was an outstanding cook and a friend to all who knew her.
She is survived by three daughters: Mary Sue Matheney of Malta, Jan (Dana) Snouffer and Mayme Beth Sidwell both of McConnelsville, two grandchildren: Josh Snouffer of Zanesville and Meggie (Jason) Kuhn of Powell, four great-grandchildren: Rebecca Snouffer, Lucas Snouffer, Emma Kuhn, and Abigail Kuhn, two sisters Pearl Anders of Roseville and Mary Kathryn (Bill) Rider of Zanesville.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her Husband Kenneth Paul Sidwell who passed away on November 30, 1994, two brothers Chalmer Carr and Russell Carr, three sisters: Elsie Fisher, Verla Swain Harris, and Edna Maxwell.

Calling hours will be 2-4 and 6-8pm on Thursday January 7 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD ZANESVILLE. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11am in the Snouffer Chapel with Rev. Dawn Remster officiating. Burial will follow in McConnelsville Cemetery.
