Model Trains on Track for Open House
For train enthusiasts, it’s like a kid in a candy store.
This weekend the Zane Trace National Trail Model Railroad Club is opening their doors to the public, and this year they have some new things to offer.
"We added a grass fire to one of the areas, and we redid some of our scenery to spruce it up and make it look better," says Brian Harrier, Secretary of ZTNT Model Railroad Club.
The display features multiple trains, rails, and scenery. They’ve been featured in magazines and on national television for the 30 plus years they’ve put into the hobby.
Harrier says, "we just love trains and details and making a miniature world I suppose."
The open house will run from 11 to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. They are located in the Old Business Building on the corner of Market and Fourth Streets in downtown Zanesville.
It is free, however, donations will be accepted.
