Monthly produce market at West Muskingum Middle School
ZANESVILLE, Ohio- Saturday, West Muskingum Middle School housed their monthly produce market in collaboration with mid Ohio food bank.
Students of all ages came together to volunteer and help make a difference in the lives of their communities. West Muskingum High School student Zak Godwin said all are welcome.
“We’re giving out free produce to the community that needs it. We’re here to help. If you need help, don’t be afraid to come in. It doesn’t matter who you are or where you come from, we’re just here to help,” said Godwin.
Among the volunteers was Marlene Wilkins who said she truly enjoys helping out and making a difference for those in need.
“We like to have a variety of food here and hope that each time that they come that we’ll be able to give them an ample amount of food. This I love. I feel that I’m really doing a lot for the community,” said Wilkins.
Next month’s produce market will be held on Saturday May fifth at The West Muskingum Administrative Center.
